NAWALPARASI , Chudhari Group Industries at Dumkauli in Nawalparasi, which was closed since last ten days following the strike of the UCPN (Maoist)-affiliated labourers, has resumed its production on Saturday after the agitating labourers and the management reached an agreement.
The agitating labourers called off their protest, which they initiated on Feb. 25 to press for raise in their salaries and allowances, after the management agreed to fulfill their demand within a year.
The protest program initiated by the laborers of CG Foods under Chaudhari Group got worse as other departments including CG Electronics, CG Impex, Sungold Brewery and Perfect Blends joined the fray affecting the company production.
All the industries have resumed their production from this morning, Acting Chief Director Ramkaji Shrestha said.
